Ernest is, first and foremost, a patisserie where everything is homemade, from jams to viennoiseries. Here, we are committed to working with fresh, unprocessed ingredients. Nothing is left to chance; the majority of our products are sourced locally.

In short, Ernest welcomes you at any time of day for a gourmet break tailored to your desires. Our entire menu can be enjoyed on-site (in the dining room or on the terrace) or taken away.

The Chef and his Team

Etienne ROBERT, chef of ERNEST patisserie, has worked in major Parisian establishments. After the Ritz, he worked for Alain Ducasse at the Plaza Athénée, before following him to open his chocolate factory.

After training with renowned professionals such as Nicolas Berger and Claire Heitzler, he created ERNEST in his beloved home region of Savoie.

He advocates for an essentialist patisserie, prioritizing a return to authenticity and quality. Through his work, he emphasizes the mastery of basic techniques and artisanal patisserie know-how, free from any artifice.
By carefully avoiding any artificial colors or flavors, he discards the superfluous to focus on the essential: taste and respect for the product.
These are the values he strives to transmit to his team every day.

The Place

A convivial space, Ernest Pâtisserie & Café (49, Place Saint-Léger - Chambéry | 04 79 33 35 61) is like a breath of fresh air in the city. It is a refined and bright place, as modern as it is timeless. In addition to its intimate and warm interior, Ernest offers a large and pleasant terrace on the most beautiful square in Chambéry's historic center.
